Deposit:-
  • 50% for a stay of one night.
  • 1 nights tariff for stays of 2-nights or more.

Payment of your deposit can be made in the following ways:-
  • By telephone with a credit/debit card to secure your booking (no monies are debited from your card prior to arrival) or
  • following your telephone enquiry/booking written confirmation within 7 days together with your cheque or credit/debit card details
  • On receipt of your written confirmation you will be sent an email to confirm your booking or a letter of confirmation if you are unable to receive emails.

Balance of Payment
On departure we will be pleased to receive the balance of payment by the following methods:-
  • Debit or Credit Card
  • Cash
  • Sterling Travellers Cheques
  • Euros  €

Cancellations
Normal terms and conditions
A full refund of the deposit (50% for a stay of one night/ 1 night’s tariff for a stay of two nights or
more) will be made for all cancellations received more than 21 days before the intended date of
arrival. However, a full refund of the deposit (less a 10% administration charge) will only be made
for cancellations received less than 21 days (irrespective of the cancellation reason) prior to the
intended date of arrival, or failure to turn up, if the room is subsequently fully relet. Hill View
House will claim damages for all actual losses incurred as a result of any amendments to the
booking made less than 21 days (irrespective of the reason) prior to the intended date of arrival, and
curtailment (when a guest cuts their stay short). Where Hill View House has accepted a telephone
booking(s) made by a credit/debit card, the credit/debit card account belonging to the individual
responsible for making the booking(s) will be charged with any appropriate cancellation
charges/damages. In the event of Hill View House having to cancel your booking, all reasonable
efforts will be made to find you alternative comparable accommodation, and any deposit paid by
you will be fully refunded.
Special Covid 19 terms and conditions
If either the customer or the owner of Hill View House is showing any possible signs of Covid 19
immediately prior to the start of a guest stay at the accommodation, the booking will be automatically
cancelled. In this instance, no cancellation charge will be imposed. In the event of Hill View House
having to cancel your booking in this situation due to Covid 19 illness on the part of the owner, any
deposit paid by you will be fully refunded, however, it is unlikely that any alternative comparable
accommodation will be found for you in this instance.
Any guests showing signs of Covid 19 whilst staying at Hill View House are required to go for a
test, and the result of this test must be shown to the owner. If the result of the test is positive, the
guest must immediately leave if this is reasonably possible. If for any reason that it is not, and self-
isolation is required to take place at Hill View House, then all fees for all bookings affected by this
self-isolation will be borne by that guest. As all appropriate Covid 19 secure measures will
otherwise be in place in this situation to keep everyone else safe in the property, Hill View House
will claim damages for all actual losses incurred should you decide to cut your stay short.
However, if you are asked to immediately vacate the property during your stay due to Covid 19
illness on the part of the owner, any deposit paid by you will be fully refunded, however, it is
unlikely that any alternative comparable accommodation will be found for you in this instance.
