Hill View House Risk Assessment
Covid-19 Prevention
All guests will be contacted prior to arrival to ascertain whether they are showing any possible signs of Covid 19 such as coughing. If so, they will be instructed not to come to the Bed & Breakfast, and they will be advised that no cancellation charge will be imposed. Any guests showing signs of Covid 19 whilst staying at Hill View House are required to go for a test, and the result of this test must be shown to the owner. If the result of the test is positive, the guest must immediately leave if this is reasonably possible. If for any reason that it is not, and self-isolation is required to take place at Hill View House, then all fees for all bookings affected by this self-isolation will be borne by the guest.
Arrival
To stagger the arrivals at the Bed & Breakfast, guests will be asked at the booking point/day before arrival for the exact time they are coming. The preferred arrival time to allow for all the additional cleaning required due to the Covid 19 is between 4.00pm and 8.00pm. If the expected time of arrival is likely to be outside these hours, guests will be asked to notify the owner in advance. Just prior to arrival all guests will be required to telephone the Bed & Breakfast rather than knock the front door. On arrival all guests will be directed to the rear of the property and instructed to use hand sanitiser before entering the Bed & Breakfast. We will ask you to confirm the name and contact details of every person in your party staying in the Bed & Breakfast. At all times thereafter, guests will be expected to use hand sanitiser when coming back into the Bed & Breakfast.

All guests will be asked to leave their window(s) open in their bedroom before departure. We would ask all guests to vacate their room by 10.00am on the morning of their departure. We would prefer guests to settle their account at the point of departure by debit or credit card rather than by cash. Guests will be required to vacate the property with all their luggage by the front door. The driver of the vehicle will then be required to walk round to the rear of the Bed & Breakfast to collect their car and then temporarily park it in the layby just down from Hill View House.

There will be an increased frequency of hand washing by the owner. Gloves, mask and aprons will be worn by the owner when cleaning the bedrooms. All letting rooms will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected every changeover using a fogger machine containing a certified EN14476 standard cleaning disinfectant.
